The Soft Boys - Nextdoorland
The Replacements - Songs For Slim.
Though I missed out on the super-limited 10” edition, this 12” version is still a lot of fun.
Jon Pertwee sings The Doctor (by Cee1003). Though the person who made and posted the video got the name wrong (it’s “Who Is The Doctor”), this is quite enjoyable. The flipside of the single, “Pure Mystery”, about a magician, is similar in style to William Shatner’s The Transformed Man.
Man Or Astro-Man? - Analog Series Volumes 1, 2, and 3 clear vinyl, limited to 200 each.
Because Chunklet sealed these with foil stickers I will probably never be able to get myself to open them. Good thing their first album in almost 12 years will be out next month.
Steve Winwood - Arc Of A Diver.
This music has a tendency to put me to sleep. Maybe that’s why I was surprised to learn that some of the lyrics are by Viv Stanshall of The Bonzo Dog Band.
The feedtime record I just posted is the one that instigated the little email argument that led to the seller calling me names. Here’s a transcript for your amusement. Whether you side with them or me I think most people would find it pretty funny…or not…I don’t know. It seems from this evidence that I have trouble getting my point across via text without coming across as a nerd. And isn’t it supposed to be cool to be a nerd right now anyway?
The record arrived with a three inch seam-split at the top. I left the seller this back-handed positive feedback: ”Listed as “New”,had seam-split,creased cover.Record does look unplayed though.”
They messaged me:
Seller: Hey there _____,
Your feedtime record was new. Received record from
AM REP directly.
Never played. It came w/ the splits.
Sorry for the
confusion..
