Man Or Astro-Man? - Analog Series Volumes 1, 2, and 3 clear vinyl, limited to 200 each.
Because Chunklet sealed these with foil stickers I will probably never be able to get myself to open them. Good thing their first album in almost 12 years will be out next month.
The Mothers - Just Another Band From L.A.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Steve Winwood - Arc Of A Diver.
This music has a tendency to put me to sleep. Maybe that’s why I was surprised to learn that some of the lyrics are by Viv Stanshall of The Bonzo Dog Band.
Traffic - Traffic.
Happy Birthday Steve Winwood.
The feedtime record I just posted is the one that instigated the little email argument that led to the seller calling me names. Here’s a transcript for your amusement. Whether you side with them or me I think most people would find it pretty funny…or not…I don’t know. It seems from this evidence that I have trouble getting my point across via text without coming across as a nerd. And isn’t it supposed to be cool to be a nerd right now anyway?
The record arrived with a three inch seam-split at the top. I left the seller this back-handed positive feedback: ”Listed as “New”,had seam-split,creased cover.Record does look unplayed though.”
They messaged me:
Seller: Hey there _____,
Your feedtime record was new. Received record from
AM REP directly.
Never played. It came w/ the splits.
Sorry for the
confusion..

My response:
Feedtime - Billy.
This record sounds incredible.
Nick Drake - Bryter Layter
Jon Pertwee - Who Is The Doctor b/w Pure Mystery.
Nikki and me. My smart, funny, beautiful, and tough daughter came to visit for a week in belated celebration of her 21st birthday. We saw The Breeders in concert and visited three record stores (including Jerry’s) and two emergency rooms. Though the hiking and other outdoor fun will have to wait until her broken parts heal, we did enjoy watching both seasons of Sherlock, season one of The Tripods, and some vintage Doctor Who (State Of Decay). Her presence enhances any experience, even hospital waiting and TV watching. I am proud of her and miss her already. Come back soon, Nicole!
When an eBay seller calls me a nitpicker and a nerd and says I’m out of my mind it makes me wonder if they’ve ever actually met a real record collector.
Akron/Family - Sub Verses
Lightning Bolt - Conan b/w Behemoth & Into The Mist. Tour 7” silk-screened folder cover, from 2000. I’m a little bummed that the T at the end of Bolt is missing but I’m trying to put a positive spin on it by telling myself it’s unique. Tried to come up with a joke about Manute Bol being tall enough to use as a lightning rod but drew a blank.
The music on this is just as great as any cut on Ride The Skies.

Big Star - Nothing Can Hurt Me
Nicole got these at Sound Cat Records, except for the Connections EP, which she bought at The Breeders show. Connections was the opening act.
