Blurbalism
Blurbalism:  A word I just made up to describe journalism that attempts to condense the obvious into bite-sized, easy to swallow, low calorie nuggets of fluff.  The purpose of blurbalism is to refresh online content or fill magazine pages without taxing the skill of the writer or the patience of the reader.   The content of most blurbalism can be summed up as:  [topic] is/are.
